Slowly Healing
My hand is slowly on the mend. I have some blisters that have formed as well as some discoloration but overall, my hand looks OK for the severity and the doctor was pleased that there was no sign of infection. In terms of pain management, she gave me a prescription for oxycodone with acetaminophen every 4 hours. I am starting to feel better from the anemia as well. I am slowly getting back to normal and hope to be at least 75% better by Monday!

Bad things come in 3s....
You know the saying bad things come in 3s...I am a classic example of that:
1. Pass glucose screen but find out I am moderately/severly anemic...
2. Go visit another store on Wednesday and get locked in the bathroom....I was stuck in the bathroom for a half hour before the fire department came to break down the door and get me out...
3. Wake up this morning; take the little one to DD for coffee since we have no electricity. When we get back to the house it is pouring rain and she slips getting out of the car; Mommy insticts kick in and I grab her and grip my scalding hot coffee with my left hand and pop the cover off so my hand is drenched in coffee. By the time I got into the house, I had a huge hunk of skin missing and blisters all over my hand. Thankfully there wasn't a long wait in the ER...they took me into a room right away to attend to my hand; until my BP dropped into the 70s and my blood sugar dropped into dangerous territory (I hadn't had anything to eat...) then the craziness began.
All in all, it has been a crazy day but I am thankful my Mommy insticts took over and I protected the baby from the hot coffee. Since I am pregnant, it is only tylenol for me and I am in quite a bit of pain. Hoping I heal quickly and without serious scarring.
